Guard Mounting Parade

Reinstated in 2005 by the Russian Government, the “Ceremonial Changing of Foot & Cavalry Guards of the President’s Regiment” is a spectacular military ceremony dating back to the time of Peter the Great. This amazing 30 minute show captivates the audience with its rifle twirling, saber wielding, “goose stepping” officers, rivaling all similar ceremonial programs in the world. Reestablished to promote Kremlin tours, this exciting military parade takes place during the summer season, running from approximately late April through early September. It is performed every Saturday on Cathedral Square inside the Moscow Kremlin at noon sharp, when the Kremlin chimes strike twelve on the Red Square Clock Tower and at 2pm on Red Square, on the last Saturday of the month.
