Bogolyubovo
In 12th century, Bogolyubovo, located few kilometers from Vladimir, became suburban residence of Prince Andrei Bogolyubsky. According to a legend, the foundation of Bogolyubovo was bound up with the veneration of the icon of the Virgin of Vladimir. Legend has it, that the horses drawing the cart in which the icon was carried stopped unexpectedly at this spot, about ten miles to the East of Vladimir.
