Business, 1 week in Moscow
Moscow Famous Landmarks
Carolanne, American choreographer, found and booked my services during a week in March 2005, while she was working with Johnny Weir. They came to Moscow with his coach, Priscilla Hill and mother, Patti Weir to participate in the World Figure Skating Championship in Moscow. Due to this beautifully nice lady (who stayed in former Ukraine, in present day Radisson Royal Hotel) I met and became friends with Johnny and his amazing mum.
Every memorable act in the history of the world is a triumph of enthusiasm. Nothing great was ever achieved without it because it gives any challenge or any occupation, no matter how frightening or difficult, a new meaning. Without enthusiasm you are doomed to a life of mediocrity but with it yu can accomplish miracles." (Og Mandino author and speaker)
This is in dedication to Arthur who became my friend. He looked after me and took care of me with great care and tenderness. Who would have thought that as a famale traveling alone and landing in Moscow could trust the hands of a stranger to take her to her hotel. That strange man ended up being one of the best experiences of my trip. Besides being my driver, tour guide, educator, interpreter, photographer and mediator, he was kind and one of the most humble human beings I have ever come across. His passion for his work beamed through with his enthusiasm for his country as well as having the love for people and life. The tears we left behind were a symbol that there are such good people on this earth. Thank you so much for making my trip such a wonderful experience!
