View from North-East on the South Gate of Novodevichy convent that was rebuilt during Tsarevna Sophia’s regency (step sister of Peter the Great) in 1683-1688. It is a complex structure consisting of Mariinsky Palace (at the left) and the church of Intercession (at the right).

Peterhof's Grand Palace Church with Gilded Cupolas. Angle View

Angle view on the majestic Peterhof's Grand Palace Church dedicated to saints Peter and Paul. It was built in 1747-1751 by prominent Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli. The palace cathedral was a popular place for weddings and baptisms of members of the Russian Imperial family.
