Interior of the Church of the Annunciation
Painted in bright yellow and green colors outside, the warm and cozy interior of the small winter Church of Annunciation of Our Lady draws your heart to God when looking on its 18th century frescoes and wood carved gilded iconostasis (icon stand). The monastery church was built in 1748 on donations from Maxim and Ivan Schelyagins to replace the church of Our Lady of Kazan which was burnt on the same site in 1745.
