Transfiguration church in Bolshie Vyazemy in Christmastide
Old Transfiguration church framed by trees during snowfall in the time of the Orthodox celebration of Christmas, between January 7th and January 19, the period of Christmastide or the 12 Days of Christmas. The beautiful old Church of the Transfiguration (Spasa Preobrazheniya) in Bolshie Vyazemy (Odintsovo district, Moscow Region) was built in 1590s on the money of the most powerful boyar in Muscovy, Boris Godunov.
