«Monument to the Cossacks Under Rain Clouds in Spring»

Angle view on the impressive WWII memorial to the 4th Guards Kuban Cossack Corps near the village of Kushchevskaya in springtime before a rain. The memorial built in 1967 is located on 1142 km of the Federal Highway M4 Don, on the side from Krasnodar to Rostov.

Here, in August 1942, the Guardsmen of the Kuban Cossack Corps stood to death, defending the gates of the Caucasus, surprising the whole world with their resilience and grandeur of the spirit.
