Side view of the snow-covered white tent-roofed Church of Ascension framed by a birch tree in Kolomenskoye Estate during a heavy snowfall in Moscow. The church was built in the tsar’s estate in 1532 by the Grand Prince of Moscow Vasiliy III (Basil III) to celebrate the birth of his son Ivan, the future first Russian tsar Ivan IV the Terrible. Ascension Church in Kolomenskoye inscribed on the World Heritage List since 1994.
