Main Victory Monument

The Victory Monument was built ar Square of Victors in 1995. It is a classic three-edged stella (bayonet), 141.8 meters of height, that is to symbolize 1418 days and nights of the Great Patriotic War. It was designed by the outstanding sculptor Zurab Konstantinovich Tsereteli. Stella sides are decorated with bronze depictions of the principal battles of the war, starting from the Brest Fortress Defence and ending with the victorious May salute in 1945.
