St. Elizabeth's Church - The view from Earthen Rampart (May 2012)
The view from earthen rampart on the Church of Saint Elizabeth, the second religious building of Dmitrov Kremlin. The church was constructed in the neoclassical style comprising two tent-domes in 1898 next to the district prison. It was closed in 1925 and used for various activities including as a warehouse which led to its original interior being lost. In 1998 the church was returned to the Church and underwent restoration work.
Photo #118 taken on May 15, 2012 during countryside tour to Dmitrov with my dear clients from Belgium, Bert Nys and Kazuko Kawabata.
