Illuminated Christmas Decorations on Varvarka Street After Snowfall
«Illuminated Christmas Decorations on Varvarka Street After Snowfall»

Beautiful New Year and Christmas decorations illuminated by hundreds of LED lights on Varvarka street in the early morning after snowfall at the beginning of 2020. An old two-story cathedral of Our Lady of the Sign painted with red and white colors is in the background of the picture. The five-domed cathedral was built between 1679 and 1684. It is the main cathedral of the Znamensky Monastery which was founded in 1629-1631 by Tsar Michael Romanov on the location of what was once his family's estate.
