Wooden House with Mezzanine Framed by Rowan Trees
«Wooden House with Mezzanine Framed by Rowan Trees»

Angle view on a wooden house with mezzanine framed by flowers and rowan trees on the grounds of Pokrovsky (Intercession) convent in Suzdal in the summer season. It is a traditional Russian countryside dwelling. Mezzanine is the upper half-floor of a house that includes elements of classical architecture in combination with Russian folk wood carving. Such houses were especially popular in the early 19th century.

Photo #217 taken on August 17, 2010 in Suzdal during Golden Ring of Russian tour with my Dear client from USA, Robert W. Monfrini.
