«Wooden Church Framed by Trees Under Gray Clouds»

Old wooden church of St. Nicholas on the grounds of Suzdal’s Kremlin framed by trees under gray clouds before rain in spring season. The wooden church was built in the village Grotovo in Yuriyev-Polsky District in 1766. In 1960, when a special place had not been allotted for the Museum of Wooden Architecture and Peasant Life yet, it was moved and assembled right nearby the main cathedral of Suzdal Kremlin.

At Entrance into Museum of Wooden Architecture at Winter Twilight

The entrance into the Museum of Wooden Architecture And Peasants' Life at winter twilight. The museum was established in Suzdal in 1960s and spread out on the right, high bank of the Kamenka River. At the right from the entrance is rising to the darken skies an elegant wooden church of Transfiguration that was built in 1756 in Kozlyatyevo village.
