Image of Our Lady with Child carved into the rock and the top with the cross of the Church of St. John the Theologian framed by trees on island Patmos in Chemal, Altai Republic. The icon of the Virgin was carved into the rock by the nun of the Barnaul Znamensky Monastery, the former sculptor and mountain climber Felofeya.

St. John the Baptist Church Framed by Trees in Summer

Festive Gateway Church of Nativity of St. John the Baptist with shining golden onion-shaped domes framed by trees against white clouds and blue sky at a nice and warm summer day. The church on the grounds of the Holy Trinity – St. Sergius Lavra was built in "Moscow Baroque" style on the donations from noble Stroganov family in 1693-99 at the Red Gate, the main entrance into the monastery.
