Residence of HM Ambassador of Great Britain at Summer Twilight
The elegant, eclectic mansion at 14, Sofiiskaya Naberezhnaya (Sofia Embankment), which long served as the British embassy in Moscow, was originally commissioned by the sugar-beet king and art collector Pavel Kharitonenko. The building constructed in 1891-1893 is located in front of the Moscow Kremlin, the opposite side of the river Moskva (Moscow River), with splendid view on the historical stronghold of Moscow city. In present time, it is the official ambassador's residence of Great Britain in Moscow.
