«At the Foot of the Main Victory Monument at Night»

Night view of the bottom part of the Main Victory Monument decorated with old-style street lights at Square of Victors on Poklannaya Hill, the Victory Memorial Complex “Victory Park” at West of Moscow city. 141-meter tall obelisk decorated with bronze depictions of the principal battles of the Great Patriotic War, starting from Brest Fortress Defence in 1941 at the bottom of the monument and ending with the victorious May salute in 1945. The monument is placed on the platform, supported by the massive black and red granite blocks. At the foot of the stela, there is a pedestal with the bronze equestrian statue of Saint George the Victor, striking a dragon with his spear. The dragon symbolizing Nazi Germany has broken swastikas on its broken wings.
