«New Year Lights at St. George Church on Varvarka in Winter Night»

Beautiful colorful church of St. George with bell tower framed by illuminated new year artificial trees in a winter night. The church with its beautiful slender drums and onion cupolas was built on Varvarka street (located near the Red Square holds a claim to being the oldest street in Moscow) in middle of the 17th century with contributions from wealthy Moscow merchants. The bell tower was added in 1818.
