«Nativity Church of Suzdal Kremlin»

The ancient cathedral of the Nativity of the Virgin is located in Suzdal Kremlin. Constructed in 1225 it is one of the most impressive and oldest churches in this amazing fairy-tale town. The lower section of the cathedral made of porous tufa and carved white stone has survived from the original building. The upper part was rebuilt in brick in 1530. In 1750 the church was given onion-shaped domes. The Nativity cathedral of Our Lady in Suzdal is the unique monument of Old Russian architecture and it is inscribed in the World Heritage list of UNESCO.
