«Restored Vaults of St. Sergius Church with Ascension of Jesus»

Magnificent vaults of the church of St. Sergius with the scene of Ascension of Jesus and rich d?cor with gilded and sivered stucco elements on the walls and ceiling. The Church of Venerable St. Sergius with Refectory Hall was built in Baroque style in 1686-1692 on money commissioned from Peter the Great. It was restored in 2014-2015 to commemorate 700 anniversary from the birth of the popular Russian Saint, the founder of Holy Trinity Lavra, a top-ranked monastery in Russia.

Wooden House of Prosperous Peasant in Snow (Angle view)

Angle view of the covered snow two-story log house of a “Well-To-Do” peasant family on the grounds of the Suzdal’s Museum of Wooden Architecture and Peasants Life after a heavy snowfall. The 19th-century wooden house with a carved cornice of the urban type was moved to the museum from a village of Log, Vyazniki district of Vladimir region in the 1970s.
