The summer carriage in the form of an Italian gondola was made in England in the 1770s. It was a present to Empress Catherine II (The Great) from Count G. Orlov. The carriage is adorned with magnificent woodcarving of laurel and oak leaves, flower garlands, banner and trophies and covered with a thin layer of gold.
