«Facing to the River Moskva»

The view from Raushskaya embankment on the majestic beauty of Stalinist Skyscraper facing the Moskva Rive (Moscow River)r. Built in neo-gothic style, the high-rise building on Kotelnicheskaya embankment was completed in 1952 by design of architect Dmitry Chechylin. Having the height of 176 meters, the tower was considered pretty high by the standards of the past. It is interesting to know that by the end of WWII part of the building was converted into multi-family housing (though these apartments were still given only to the selected few), despite the elite status of the main tower.
