Twelve Apostles' Cathedral and Tsar Cannon in Winter

Twelve Apostles' Cathedral and Tsar Cannon in Winter
«Twelve Apostles' Cathedral and Tsar Cannon in Winter»

View from Ivan Square on the architectural ensemble of Moscow Kremlin with the Cathedral of the Twelve Apostles and Tsar Cannon in a winter season. The beautiful white church with silver helmet-shaped domes is part of the Patriarch's Palace built on the grounds of Moscow Kremlin in the middle of the 17th century for Patriarch Nikon. The biggest cannon in the world, the 40-tonn bronze Tsar Cannon, was cast in 1586 in Moscow's Cannon Court by eminent Russian cannon-caster Andrei Chokhov on the order of Tsar Feodor Ioannovich (son Ivan IV the Terrible), the sovereign ruler of All Great Russia.

Photo #505 taken on March 15, 2020 during the tour of Moscow Kremlin with my Dear clients from Australia, Jeff, and Helen Wiltshire.
