Angle View of St John the Baptist Church in Spring Time

Low angle view of the Church of St John the Baptist in the city center of Kerch framed with trees and flowers in the spring time. The ancient Christian church was built in the Byzantine architectural style at the foot of the Mitridatskaya steps (there are 432 steps) in 717 years (beginning of the 8th century) and it is one of the oldest churches in Russia. A new chapel was added to the church in the 19th century (at the right on the picture), which was followed by enlarging the basilica with stone works, and with a belfry (at the left-back).
