«With Uncle Lenin on a Bench in Park of Gurzuf»

My picture with the huge and grand monument to Vladimir Lenin on vacation sitting on a bench. The monument was created by Ukrainian masters P.P. Yatsyno (Sculptor) and A.S.Fomin (architect) in first half of 1954 in park of Gurzuf that in present days belong to sanatorium “Gurzufsky”. The park was founded in 1808 by the Duke Richelieu and the monument is located near building “Gagarinsky” of the sanatorium situated in the park. In 1954, Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev transferred Crimea from Russia to Ukraine without asking opinion of the citizens of Crimea.
