Angle view of the monument "To the Lost Countrymen" in village Uspenskoe after restoration 2019-2020 on a sunny day in the early spring season. The Great Patriotic War Memorial devoted to all who defended Motherland in the Battle of Moscow, the capital of the Soviet Union. The long and bloody battle that took place between October 1941 and January 1942. The monument was established in 1982, about 40 km West from the center of Moscow city, Odintsovo district, Moscow Region. The memorial consists of a stele decorated with a pentagonal soviet star, the statue of a soldier holding machine gun above his head in front, marble plaques with lists of fallen soldiers behind the stele, and sign 1941-1945 made of red marble (not at this picture). The author of the monument is unknown.
