Glory Hall

The Glory Hall is the central hall of the Great Patriotic War museum. It serves to immortalize the names of the Heroes of the Soviet Union, who were granted this Title for their Deeds performed during the years of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. It is a place of reverence and worship of the War participants, hinterland workers and to all people. The Glor Hall is a modern tridimensional composition. The snow-white marble pylons are engraved with the names of more than 11800 Heroes of the Soviet Union and Heroes of the Russian Federation. The impressive bronze sculpture "The Soldier of Victory" by Soviet-Ukranian sculptor Valentin Znoba is placed in the center of the hall. The cupola is framed by bay leaf garland symbolizing the triumph of the Victory and in the center of the cupola is the gorgeous Order of Victory.
