Moscow’s 867th Birthday
On September 6-7th, 2014, the first weekend of September month, the Moscow traditionally celebrates its City Day. I decided to devote this album to the birthday of this ancient city, which was founded by the Grand Prince of Suzdal Yury Dolgorukiy in 1147. In 15th century it became the capital of centralized state and later the Russian Empire, and was given a nickname - “The Third Rome.” Moscow has celebrated its 867 birthday this past weekend, and I decided to go out and make some pictures during this popular holiday, enjoyed by all Muscovites. I'm also going to attach to this album a number of recent photos that I took from the end of August till the beginning of September 2014, during a tour with my clients, to give you an idea of the beauty and architectural marvels of this great city.
