GorkyClassic in GUM
From August 10 until October 5, 2014, in the legendary GUM, an exhibition of classic Soviet cars was organized by GorkyClassic project. The exhibition was dedicated to the anniversary of Russia’s main department store built on Red Square at the end of 19th century. GorkyClassic is the movement of collectors and renovators of classic Soviet cars, founded in 2009, which now unites hundreds of people in different regions of Russia – from Kaliningrad to Siberia. The exhibition was held about two months and became very popular among Russian and foreign citizens who visited the famous mall well known from Soviet times as GUM (abbreviation for State Department Store in Russian) during that time.
