Fireworks in Honor of Saint Petersburg's 313th Anniversary
Fireworks in Moscow near monument to Peter the Great on the river Moskva (Moscow River) in honor of Saint Petersburg's 313th anniversary.
On 27th of May St. Petersburg celebrates its City Day. This date was not chosen by chance. On May 27, 1703, the first stones of the Peter and Paul (Petropavlovskaya) fortress were laid in the mouth of Neva River, marking the start of the construction and the official birthday of the new city that became capital of Russia for more than 200 years.
