Snow-Covered Ensemble of Wooden Churches Framed by Trees
The architectural ensemble of 18th-century wooden churches framed by trees on the grounds of the museum of Wooden Architecture covered snow in the winter season. The Church of the Resurrection of Christ with a bell tower built in the village of Potakino, Kameshkovo district of Vladimir region in 1776 stands in front of the picture. The tent-roofed tower with a dome topped with a cross of another wooden temple dedicated to the Transfiguration of Christ is behind. Both churches were moved to the Suzdal Museum in 1970s. There are beautiful blue onion-shaped domes of Nativity of Our Lady Cathedral of Suzdal Kremlin can be distinguished behind the trees in the background at the left on the picture.
