Colorful Carved Porcelain Domes
Beautiful porcelain onion-shaped domes topped with crosses of the Church of Blessed Grand Prince Igor of Chernigov and Kiev in Peredelkino village. The church was built in the South-West suburb of Moscow in 2012. The unique cupolas were covered with porcelain, but not with gold leaf as is traditional in Russia, and the technology, which remains unparalleled in the world, designed and installed by the company from St. Petersburg, Pallada LLC and BSK, that specializes in ceramic production. According to the ceramic artist Yuri Volkotruba, the idea for the domes of this cathedral was inspired by St Basil's Cathedral on Red Square, but Orthodox church domes has never covered this way and such material, so the comprehension tasks, testing and construction took about one and a half years.
