«Shining Granite Bust of Vladimir Lenin»

Shining like steel granite bust of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (Ulyanov) in the park of art "Muzeon" by sculptor Sergey Merkurov. The sculpture was carved in 1939. Vladimir Lenin (1870 – 1924) was a Russian revolutionary, politician, and political theorist. He served as head of government of Soviet Russia from 1917 to 1924 and of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1924.

Beautiful landscape from a road, about one kilometer from the entrance into Rostov Velikiy, with the view on Spaso-Yakovlev monastery surrounded with trees and private houses. Behind the monastery is located huge lake Nero.
