Stone Flower Fountain

The “Stone Flower” fountain is one of the most beautiful and the biggest fountain in Russia. It is located at the former All-Union Exhibition Center (VDNKh). Soviet architects and designers used the name and shape to this fountain with its divine beauty from Urals fairy tales by Pavel Bazhov. The fountain is decorated with semi-precious stones from the Ural mountains, and smalt. Some details made in the Academy of Fine arts; sculptors K.Topuridze and G.Konstantinovskiy. 1954. When working, the fountain sprouts out 2,000 litres of water per second through 1,000 jets. The highest water jets are 20 m. Restored in April 2019.
