«Monument to Conquerors of Space against Grey Sky (back, side view)»

Back side view of the majestic monument "To Conquerors of Space" shining against a grey and cloudy sky. The impressive 107-meter monument showing a rocket rushing into the skies covered with 1,5 mm mirror-bright titanium panels was erected on Prospect Mira (Avenue of Peace) near the metro station VDNKh in November 1964. This metal was used in rocket production is everlasting and resists aging under all conditions. The Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics is located in the stylobate (basement) of the monument.

Photo #129 taken on August 24, 2017 during a tour of VDNKh with my Dear clients from Australia, Geoffrey and Susan Stacey.
