Golden Spike Fountain Framed by Birch Trees at Sunset
Beautiful view on one of the most spectacular fountains at VDNKh “The Golden Spike” in the Kamensky Pond framed by trees in spring sunset. The fountain designed and constructed on the grounds of VDNKh in 1950-1954 in the form of a wheatear is covered with mosaic and symbolizes fertility. In 2018 the fountain was renovated and now it shining like a new. The total height of the “Golden Ear” is 16 meters. It consists of 66 water jets, 30 of which are 25 meters tall. The fountain is decorated with golden smalt from opaque colored glass.
