Sculpture of Lenin and Coat of Arms of the USSR
The sculpture to the founder of the Soviet state Vladimir Lenin in the background of gilded symbol and flags of the republics of the USSR decorated the central pavilion of VDNKh. The monument to the founder of the Soviet state was installed at the main exhibition of the Soviet Union in 1954 by the project of architect R.R. Gasparyan. The sculptural image created by sculptor P.P. Yatsino is a wonderful example of Soviet monumental plastic art of the early 1950s - one of the author's repetition options. The monument and the building were restored in 2016-2019 to commemorate 80th anniversary from the foundation of VDNKh (1939-2019).
