Angle view of illuminated chandelier and fragment of a central part of iconostasis of the Chapel of the Entry of Our Lord into Jerusalem (western Chapel of St. Basil’s Cathedral). The wooden carved iconostasis (screen with icons) was moved here in 1770 from the Kremlin Church of St. Alexander Nevsky, abolished three years earlier. The majority of the icons in this Chapel were painted in the 18th century.

Photo #734 taken on March 15, 2020 during the tour of St. Basil’s Cathedral with my Dear clients from Australia, Jeff and Helen Wiltshire.
