Under Impressive Summer Moonlight Through the Clouds
On one of the last evenings of summer, the impressive moonlight through the clouds shines over the architectural ensemble of Novodevichy convent with clear reflections in the water. The main cathedral of Smolensky Icon of Our Lady built in 1525 looks magnificent with its Russian onion gold and silver cupolas (domes). White and red crenelated walls, towers and churches of the convent that were built in the 17th century in Moscow Baroque style are illuminated with bright white spotlights when it is getting dark, but they switch it off after midnight.
