View from Taynitsky Garden of Moscow Kremlin on the Senate building framed by trees. The luxurious building for the Senators was constructed in the Kremlin by a project of prominent Russian architect Matvei Kazakov in 1776-1787. The main seat of the Senate was in St. Petersburg at that time, but Catherine the Great decided to move two Senate departments to Moscow. In the present time, it is the principal residence of President of Russia.

Domes of St. John the Baptist Church (Sergiyev Posad)

The beautiful golden domes of the church of Nativity of St. John the Baptist was built in Baroque style over Holy Gates, the main entrance into the Holy Trinity St. Sergius Lavra, by successful merchant family of Stroganov's in 1693-1699. Local monks come everyday at 5:00 am to this church for confession.
