«The Faceted Chamber (Granovitaya Palata)»
The Faceted Chamber or Palace of the Facets (in Russian “Granovitaya Palata”) was built with a high basement on Cathedral Square of Moscow Kremlin in 1487-1491 by design of Italian Architects Marco Ruffo and Pietro Solari. Standing between the Churches of the Assumption (a corner of the building at the right on this picture) and the Annunciation, the Granovitaya Chamber’s westerly wall is contiguous to the Grand Kremlin Palace, the yellow building with green roof constructed later, in 19th century.
