View from Ivan the Great (Ivanovskaya) Square on the remarkable harmonious Dormition (Assumption) Cathedral built of white stone in 1475-1479 by design of Italian architect Aristotle Fiorovanti who was invited to Moscow by Great Prince Ivan III “The Great” to build the main church at prince's residence for coronations and other important church and state events.
