Great Imperial Crown
This symbol of monarchy power was made by J. Pauzie. Being Swiss by birth he came to Russia at the age of 14 in the 20s of the XVIII century and during forty years of his activity became one of the most prominent jewelers in the country. He left a note written in his own hand where he tells the history of creating a crown in 1762 for the coronation of Tsarina Catherine II (the Great).
