Nativity of the Virgin Cathedral Framed by Trees (angle, eastern side)
Standing on a small hill, the white stone Cathedral of the Nativity of Our Lady framed by trees from east side (side of altar, sanctuary) on the grounds of the Savvino-Storozhevsky Monastery in summer season. The diminutive, roughly hewn church with gilded cupola topped with Orthodox cross is the preeminent landmark of Zvenigorod city. The Cathedral dedicated to the feast of the Nativity constructed in 1407 is one of the oldest churches in the Moscow Region.
