In the Neighbourhood of the Great Monastery
A quick stop on the way to the New Jerusalem Resurrection monastery founded in middle of 17th century on the River Istra by Moscow Patrarch Nikon, 40 km West from Moscow city. The great monastery was constructed in 1657-1697 and standing between woods on a hilly landscape. It was built as an exact replica of the Church of the Holy Sepulture and often called "Russian Palestine".
