Sapsan Train Ready to Depart from Moscow
The high speed Sapsan train on platform at Lenigradsky railway station is ready to depart from Moscow to St. Petersburg. The modern trains for Russian Railways Corporation were built by the German corporation Siemens. Since December 2009, the Moscow — St Petersburg route is serviced in the morning, afternoon and evening by Sapsan trains with average speed about 200 km/h.
Sapsan trains became very popular and excellent alternative for riding on planes between three cities in Russia, Moscow, St. Petersburg and Nizhniy Novgorod and very soon will be also available in Kazan city. For the comfortable ride in business or economy class coaches between Moscow and St. Petersburg it takes about 3 hour and 45 min one way.
