«Light Installation "Ded Moroz in Troika"»

Close-up view of the New Year light installation in front of the Arch of Triumph in the middle of Kutuzovky Avenue. Ded Moroz (which translates as Father Frost) rides in Troika, the traditional Russian carriage drawn by a team of three horses. The height of this composition highlighted by 12 powerful halogen projectors and hundreds colorful neon lights is 8 meters (26 feet).

Fountain at Theater Square

View from second floor of the main foyer in Bolshoi Theater on the fountain and traffic in front of the building. Behind the cars is still standing from Soviet times the monument to Carl Marks, the popular place for meeting communists on the Theater square in present days.
