Fountain at Theater Square

Fountain at Theater Square
«Fountain at Theater Square»

View from second floor of the main foyer in Bolshoi Theater on the fountain and traffic in front of the building. Behind the cars is still standing from Soviet times the monument to Carl Marks, the popular place for meeting communists on the Theater square in present days. On background of the picture, from other side of the square, appear a small a small piece of old red brick Kitay-gorod wall and mighty tower left on Revolution Square, behind the Teatralnaya (Theater) Square. Behind the wall is rising bell tower and beautiful cathedral of Our Savior Not Made by Hands built in Moscow baroque style on the grounds of Zaikonospassky monastery in 1660 on the decree of Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich by prince Fedor Volkonsky.

Photo #084 taken on May 25, 2012 during tour of the Bolshoi Theater with my Dear clients from USA, Jose and Ina Lopez.
