On the Grounds of Sretensky Monastery - View from the Entrance
The walkway from the entrance of the Sretensky monastery to the new beautiful Church of the Resurrection of Christ decorated with gilded cupolas. The wall of the side-chapel of the main cathedral of Sretensky Monastery rebuilt in the 17th century is at the left on the picture. The monastery was established on the place of the "meeting" of the miracle-working icon of Our Lady of Vladimir that occurred before the retreat of the Tatar force at the end of the 14th century.
