«Church of Glorious Resurrection (Apostle Philip) on Arbat»

The church of Glorious Resurrection is located in a historical center of Moscow city, just a few minutes away from Old Arbat street. Originally, the church was built in 1688 by Ivan Kosmin in the name of Apostle Philip, which is why its previous name was Phillipovskaya Tserkov (Church), and the street where it is located in present days was named Phillipovsky pereulok (passage). Since 1818, metochion of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem in Moscow were settled in this church.
