Gable Roof and Sculptural Decor of Anchor Insurance Company
The gable roof at the left edge of the apartment building of the insurance company Anchor with a fragment of decor that is rich with eclectic details (in the style of historicism) with renaissance motifs. Here you can see sculptural stucco decorations with the company symbol (anchor), and a bust-medallion, and pilasters with moldings decorated with stucco molding. The building was reconstructed in 1879 by the design of the Austrian-Russian architect August Weber based on an older building.
